- Answer The camera comes with an AC Adapter (120 volt to 5 volt) & USB to Mini USB cable to plug into the camera to recharge the battery. If you want an external battery charger you would have to purchase that item separately. See attached Photo.

- Answer Hi there! It is recommended to use the PlayMemories Home software to transfer the pictures (and videos) from this camera to a computer. Your computer's USB port doesn't have to be 3.0. 2.0 will be fine. You cannot transfer the files from the camera directly to a thumb drive. Transfer the pictures from the camera to a computer them from the computer to a thumb drive.
