Does this camera take still pictures? null

According to the product description, it does have a dedicated still photo mode, which takes stills at 20 MP.

Yes it takes very good still pictures in camera mode, in video mode it will take ok snapshots while recording but only in certain recording formats, for these stills your better off pulling them from the video on a computer
