- Answer You do not need a 4K TV or DVD to play these videos. Even if you shoot at 4K its great for post editing. You can later convert to 1080p or 720p on your PC.

QuestionAfter 12:29 min it will stop recording then start again with a new file with a second delay where I'm loosing footage. Is it because I'm not using a 4K SD card? I'm using a 48MB/S Class 10 32GB. Suggestions?

- Answer You need a U3 sd card. The extremes are at 90Mbs. I have no trouble recording a full soccer game on a card in one file.

QuestionIs this a good camcorder to use to record soccer games? Will the recording stay in focus when moving the camera at quick speeds while tracking the play since soccer is a fast sport?

QuestionOk so i hard there was a new version of this cam. Does anyone know what the new one is and also does anyone know if it is better ?

- Answer Hi Rob, the newer model is the FDR-AX53. Major difference is the improvement of zoom capability. It features 20x optical zoom compared to 10x optical zoom of AX33. It also has 250x digital zoom compared to 120x digital zoom of AX33. It also features 1920x1080pp 120fps that the AX33 do not have. Hope this helps, Zander

QuestionCan you tell me if you can take still photos at the same time as you are taking videos? Also, does this camera have a flash built in?

- Answer Yes, it will capture still images when recording video (however some video formats don't support still image capture when recording). It does not have a built in flash, but one can be installed on the accessory hot shoe. I have the Sony HVL-F32M flash. Haven't had to use it officially yet but it works with the camcorder. Will only work in photo mode. Flash not available in video recording even if a still image is captured.

QuestionIs there a specific DVD recorder to use with the Digital Handycam / Sony 8 700x Digital Zoom steady shot.?We need to purchase another dvd recorder and the one we have is ancient and instead of buying a used one, I wanted to know if this handycam can be used with any brand of dvd recorder. - Answer Hi mjg, we would suggest purchasing a recorder that can read AVCHD files or even 4K. Or you can turn on the Dual Video Rec to record AVCHD and mp4 or 4K and mp4 at the same time. Thanks_Mitch

QuestionI'm trying to find something I can film the stars at night with but most everything I have found so far looks terrible and can only pick out light from the brightest stars. Will the night shot or just regular on this camera work for that? Thank you.

- Answer Yes, there is the choice in the menu when you first open the display to choose what format you want to record for video. For FaceBook, choose 720. It's perfect for uploading to FaceBook or YouTube. It will be in the right format but it might be a little long. I don't know what the time or size limits are. Seán
