QuestionIs there a default setting for the manual focus control? Other words do you have to go into settings and switch it to manual focus each time the camera is turned on or can it be set to start up in manual focus mode?

- Answer Hi Lee, during startup, the camera's focus will be the last selected focus mode. Switching from autofocus and manual focus can be performed on the camcorder's menu. Regards, -Mark

QuestionI have the AX53 and would like to use the FADE feature (fading in and out) but I can't get it to record to the chip. Is there a way to export video clips that can be faded in and faded out?

QuestionI could not find the specs in this listing for the mounting ring on this camera. At the store I was told 55 mm. In some of the kits offered online and in questions on this blog, which include filters, I see 52 mm filters described. Why the confusion?

- Answer Hi MalibuMark22, you can greatly reduce the volume while recording by activating the My Voice Canceling feature of the camera, this can be adjusted on the unit's menu. - Answer Sorry, I am not familiar with the word "bauged". However, I love my Sony 4k video. It is so much nicer than the non 4k camcorders that I had before. One thing I have noticed, is that if you are going to video tape in 4k, then you need a good SD card. Quality sd card that has a high frame rate. That will cost you some money, but worth it. Also, it takes up a lot of memory. I shoot soccer games, and the first half is at least 15 gigs. Depending on the quality. They can get very large. 60 gigs, however these are 45 minute halves. So 90 minutes of continual video. I have a large SD card. 128 gigs. Of course if you are not doing a lot of video taping like I am, you can buy multiple SD cards, and just swap them in and out when you need. Also, I just bought a 52mm wide angle lens that fits on the end of my camcorder. I haven't tried it out yet. Going to this weekend. Hopefully it will .

- Answer There is a port at the back of the camera located to the right of the battery and under the start/stop button. It comes with an AC adapter that plugs into standard US outlet. You can also buy a battery charger and an extra battery. That way you can still use your camera while charging the other battery. Your camera also charges while it's connected via the USB connection.

QuestionI love my AX33, but can someone tell me why dose it frezz up on me when I'm in the middle of video taping?? The only way I can get it to work again is after disconnecting the battery... If anyone has an answer please let me know if it's fixiable.

- Answer Check that you are using the recommended SD card for 4K video and that you download the data after each use and format the card with the camera before each use.

- Answer the hotshoe integration is for still shots, there is no way a traditional flash can be used for video, you can purchase video lights that fit the shoe but you will need to turn them on manually, they will not come on when low light is detected
