its heavy there it says 21 pounds? null

Hi Marc! The Sony FDRAX33 weighs 600 g (1 lb 5 oz) main unit only, & 700 g (1 lb 8 oz) including the supplied rechargeable battery pack NP-FV70. -Anthony

it actually weighs in at 1.53 lbs

it is heavier than smaller 1080p cameras, but not unusually so. 21lbs, doesn't feel like that at all, id say twice the weight of a basic small model just guessing, I find if my arm gets tired a few seconds of helping out with my left hand will relieve that problem for awhile. Its larger also. its a fat camera.

The camcorder is really light, it takes awesome pictures and videos too!

The cam is lightweight and easy to use weighing maybe 2 pounds less than five with all my add ons
