I'm an audio enthusiast and at this point I don't find a camera audio recording qualities being better than a dedicated recording audio setup. But I have to tell you, the quality sound on the mics in this camera are good if you find yourself in a situation in which you don't have your audio recorder on hand. Not bad actually.
