A:AnswerI tried recording at a Halloween party using the 1080p@60fps XAVC-S format. The picture was grainy but was nicely in focus. Recording a live band indoors without supplemental lighting is a big challenge. You could try using 1080p@30fps that might let the camera use a slower shutter speed and clear up the graininess. This camera has very clear video in bright lighting conditions.

A:AnswerIf you can plug into an outlet and use a 32 gb SD card you can record for 240 mins (standard def) or 160 mins (high def). If you can't plug into a wall outlet the battery is only good for about 115 minutes of continuous recording and you'd have to have a second battery and change it out to get 3 hours.
