If you can plug into an outlet and use a 32 gb SD card you can record for 240 mins (standard def) or 160 mins (high def). If you can't plug into a wall outlet the battery is only good for about 115 minutes of continuous recording and you'd have to have a second battery and change it out to get 3 hours.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.As long as you turn it on right before hand you should be good. It normally goes just a little bit longer than 3 hours for me. I would grab an extra battery somewhere just to be safe, they are light and compact enough to carry with you.
