“Does this still suffer from the defective battery issue? Apparently most buds around 2022 had a defective battery coupled with a firmware update that fried it. I really liked them but I'm terrified of spending more money if they haven't fixed it.”

They do. I’ve had 2 of these and both of them drain like crazy, going from 100 to 20% after about an hour.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, I bought mid 2023. Thought that issue is fixed. Last 4 months ago, when I updated to new version of app, then it drained very fast. Only 15 minutes last for right side. Sony don't care and didn't take responsibility. I tried to warn on product review but Best Buy block that option to me when I log in and go to purchase item to do the review. Hope you didn't buy this one.
