• The mic has a 3.5 mm plug similar to the apple AirPod headset which has a built in mic . This mic doesn't have an on/off switch. I have not tried it on my iPhone since I have it connected to a PC desktop to give commands to Cortana.

• All I can say is that it has a 3.5 mm plug . I also have an iPhone with a 3.5 mm jack but I haven't tried this mic for that purpose. The mic does not have an on/off button like the iPod headphones do, those have a built in mic.

• Yes, I use it with a Sony recorder but it will work with an IPhone. My opinion is that you won't get much benefit useing it with an iPhone though.
