• Hi Alan, Thanks for your inquiry. Unfortunately, connecting an external microphone is not recommended as we cannot guarantee its operation. The Audio IN port and Bluetooth function of this unit is commonly used to connect to mobile devices, tablets, computers, TVs, etc. Hope this helps! -Sam
