“I have a Sony XBR65A8H. Will the TV remote work the receiver. How do you suggest I hook up a phono to the unit?”

I have a Roku tv and the tv remote runs the volume on receiver.. but when you turn tv off it only mutes the receiver it will not shut receiver off
