A:AnswerIf you plan on playing only regular dvds on an hd tv i would recommend an regular dvd player. You wont get the main benefit of blu ray without blu ray discs and at least a 1080p tv , if budget is your main concern and you have regilar dvds you would just waste money for the privilege of blu ray brand name.If you have real blu rays you can honestly use one certified refurbished. At best buy you can still get a warranty with it. You’ll get the benefit of blu ray at a lower cost. make sure to get a high bandwith cable to use for the player as this also effects playback quality. Best buy recommends rocketfish dont buy that it is there store brand and you can get better for the price
A:AnswerWould like to help you but cannot find the manufacturer date on the unit.
I bought the unit on Best Buy's Open Box program and even though the product rating was excellent, the unit was provided without packaging which is where I typically would find the date stamp.
Can the manufacturing date be located elsewhere? If so, would be happy to share with you.

A:AnswerYes there is. Go to the home page and click on the "Setup" icon in the upper right hand corner. Then scroll all the way to the bottom where you will see "Resetting" click enter and you will see "Reset to Factory Default Settings". Good luck!
A:AnswerPlayers dont produce sound themselves. The tv will produce the sound for the movies. If uou are happy with how the tv sounds then thats what you will hear. Players are using standard hdmi ports. If your tv has them it will always be compatible
A:AnswerBlu ray players require a physical connection to the display that is used. You would need to connect the player to your laptop in order to do that. As far as i know most laptops only send video through hdmi and dont recieve it. If you want to play a disc on a laptop use an external dvd drive(they are quite expensive)
A:AnswerNo. Not sure why you would need a coax on a DVD player. If your TV is older and has only a coax input you could get an adapter from HDMI to coax but the picture quality will suffer a tremendous amount.
A:AnswerHi Dustin,
No, the Blu-ray player doesn't have a headphone jack. If you wish to use headphones for this Blu-ray player, we recommend our home theater headphones. See the link for more information.
