• I have had mine since June 30 and have played numerous Blu Rays with no problem at all.

• NO. Run away from this device unless you want to spend your time rebooting, unplugging and plugging in the power repeatedly trying to get the machine to turn on or to eject the DVD the player miraculously got through somehow.
