• I am having the exact same problem with this same unit. Very frustrating too and not typical of Sony products. If anyone has any good answers, am all ears. Thanks.

• It very well could be a bad hdmi port or arc support port. Sounds weird but a power issue could be related to those. Try switching to a different one on your tv. Even try moving your ac plug to a different source.
