• It should work with your old system. It has the two RCA plugs (red and white) that fit into the back of my 30-year-old Technics amplifier. I'm very happy with this purchase.

• It will work with any system that has RCA inputs for either Phono or even auxiliary. The USB is for downloading to your computer
