“Some people have complained because of loud beeps and the voice guidance being too loud. Has anyone here had trouble with either of those? I am seriously considering buying these, but problems like that make me worry.”

Yes, beeps and the voice assistant, which announce power on/off, noise cancellation on/off, etc. can not be turned off and their volume, which is far too loud, can not be adjusted either. Even when you know they're coming because you pressed a button, these prompts are very disturbing and borderline painful, they are so loud.
