These headphones have a stereo mini-jack input and come with approx 4 foot headphone cable and airplane connection adapter.

You would need to use a dongle to attach the wire to your phones lightning port and use the included wire which would plug into the dongle and the port on the headset. Or you can turn on just Bluetooth while in airplane mode if the airline allows it.

Do you still have the adapter the iPhone came with? You can still use the Bluetooth while in airplane mode. That wire is mainly for the airplane jacks and has the special adapter to plug in the seat.

The headphones comes with a wire with adapters for different kinds of headphone jacks.
