Theoretically... When I use these with the noise cancelation on I can still hear some sound, but it's muffled. . You can also adjust the level of noise cancelation to fit your liking.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It would definitely reduce the loudness but also eliminate a lot of the bass and low level noise (think engine-humming noise on a flight). It won't block out all sounds because you can still hear people talk, albeit faintly. For the price, you're better off buying earplugs or cheap headphones.

Although noise is reduced, it is not completely canceled.
