If your TV accepts Bluetooth connections, then you should be fine. I found with my TV using a long audio cable that there was a low buzzing sound that was pretty annoying.

These headphones can be paired with a TV that supports A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) Bluetooth profile. You may want to check the specifications of your TV. If you are using a Sony TV, specific models are supported by the headphones.
