• Hi CapeCodder, Thank you for your inquiry. The WH1000XM4 has an improved noise canceling function specifically for high frequencies. It is also very effective at removing everyday ambient noise. The noise canceling function works primarily on noise in the low-frequency band such as vehicles and air conditioning. Although noise is reduced, it is not completely canceled. -Ralph

• In my experience yes as long as you don't wear glasses or hit bumps/turn your head too fast, as those "break" the noise canceling seal and make a pop noise almost
