“Is there a way to keep stereo sound while using the mic? I know these aren't designed for gaming, but for me they work well except I lose directional sound with the mic activated. I've dug around in setting and it doesn't seem there's an option for both.”

Hi BestBuy Customer, Thank you for inquiring about the XB900N. Choosing [Headset (WH-XB900N Hands-Free)] means that the HSP/HFP profile is used and you do get to use the headset's microphone this way. If you choose [Headphones (WH-XB900N Stereo)], the connected device send all its audio output to the headset using the A2DP profile and a video call may not be available. Sound quality may become low due to the conditions of the communication line and this is not a malfunction.
