  • QuestionDual Pairing. Can you connect two of these speakers at once? Thanks!

    Asked by DualPairing.

    • Answer Hi there, great question! Yes, the SRS-XB100 can also be paired with another SRS-XB100 if you want an even bigger sound! To use the Stereo Pair function or stereo playback of the SRS-XB100, please refer to the steps below: 1. Place 2 speakers within 1 m (3.2 ft) each other, and then turn on both speakers. 2. On either one of the speakers, press and hold the(BLUETOOTH)/ST PAIR (Stereo Pair) button for about 2 seconds. 3. On the other speaker, press and hold the(BLUETOOTH)/ST PAIR (Stereo Pair) button for about 2 seconds. 4. Check the state of the indicator on each of the 2 speakers. When the speakers are connected by the Stereo Pair function, you hear voice guidance (Left/Right) from the speaker, then the ST PAIR (Stereo Pair) indicators on both speakers stay lit and the (BLUETOOTH) indicator on the second speaker turns off. 5. Operate the speaker of which the (BLUETOOTH) indicator is flashing to make a BLUETOOTH connection with your computer/BLUETOOTH device. When the BLUETOOTH connection is established, you hear the notification sound from the speaker and the activity of the (BLUETOOTH) indicator changes from flashing to lit. 6. Start playback on the BLUETOOTH device, and adjust the volume to moderate level. 7. Press the –/+ (volume) buttons on one of the speakers to adjust the volume. For more details, please visit the Help Guide of our SRS-XB100 ( can be found in Sony's support website) and search for "Listening to music wirelessly with 2 speakers (Stereo Pair function)." Note: • To use the Stereo Pair function, 2 SRS-XB100 speakers are required. • By connecting 2 speakers via a BLUETOOTH connection, you can enjoy more powerful sound. One speaker plays the sound on the left channel (left side), while the other speaker plays the sound on the right channel (right side) for stereo playback between the speakers. Get ready for powerful and clear sound from a compact body. The XB100 speaker is everything you need for life on the move. It’s durable, has plenty of battery and is perfect for listening at home or when out with friends. It’s the perfect all-rounder for however you like to listen. I hope this helps you, and thanks again for your inquiry! Best regards, Romeo

  • QuestionCan I pair a bluetooth microphone with this speaker? Can I pair it with two sync'ed speakers?

    Asked by AlbertontheCost.

    • Answer It already has a built-in microphone. You can't connect another mic to the speaker this way (because it's meant as a peripheral), but theoretically you could connect a separate Bluetooth mic to the phone itself. I think that could be tricky though I'm not an expert. It can pair with other speakers, using the app that comes with by Sony. I paired this 100 with XB13 (very similar model) to get stereo sound and it's WAY better than I imagined! Like 1 + 1 = 3 somehow. I've not tried more than 2, but Sony says you can connect several more including other brands models also (don't remember the max # but it seemed ridiculous like 10 or something lol) I'm not sure how good sounds having very unmatched speakers/ sound profile but it's definitely doable. I love this little guy so much :)

  • QuestionMy elderly dad struggles w/his iPhone volume. I read this will work for calls, & volume is adjustable on the unit itself. I also understand he can converse thru the unit once the call is connected. My question is will this work using FaceTime as well?

    Asked by Renda.

    • Answer I'm sure it will. I don't use apple stuff but as long as you can connect a Bluetooth device for those calls (like you would connect a BT headset), you can use this exactly the same. On Android you set whether each device will be used for music/media, calls, etc, so I'm sure iPhone has similar options. Once paired, enable "use for calls" function in settings, then phone will automatically send calls (including ringing) to the speaker any time it's on & connected. It's great for calls and very loud (if you want). I don't use it for calls a lot by preference, but people tell me it sounds great on the other end too, which Sony really is the leader in my opinion. Noise filtering, cancelling features & also EQ and sound control/optimize algorithms are absolutely fantastic and far superior on every Sony product I've had. I'm very picky about how speakerphone or certain earbuds can be echo-y or pick up too much background. Another plus, as you walk around the sound is relatively consistent, unlike how a regular speaker points in one direction. Hope this helps!
