• yes, it does automatically shuts off the charging once the battery is fully charged.

• I had my headphones for over 1 year, always left them charging. The battery life never seemed to drain and they were always full charge when I unplugged them. I'm sure the batteries would last longer with minimal charging but it was never an issue with mine.
