“My husband wears hearing aids. We have the TV sound coming through a receiver. If we get the bluetooth adapter to plug into the receiver, plus this unit, will he be able to turn up the volume while I listen through our speakers?”

Short answer is yes. I wear hearing aides as well. To me, it is like surround sound at the movie theater. I can clearly hear all the voices in the movie, background sounds, and the headvoice allow the listener to toggle the bass on or off. The headphones are comfortable throug a 2.5 movie, even with the earing aides worn. I connect the headphones with Bluetooth audio with tv or one could connect with dish controller box or stereo that is equipped with Bluetooth. I don't know if my wife liked them better than I do and now the tv is not blaring! Enjoying them very much.
