I would actually grab these headphones, they are very comfortable, I don't like the in ear headphones because they just fall out or make my ear uncomfortable, you can also try the type of headphones that have the around ear piece and the piece that goes in the ear just hovers or sits but doesn't put much pressure. I would think though the most comfortable ones would be over the ear like these Sony, they are cheap and the swivel piece makes them conform better.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Many ear buds put pressure on your ear canal and this could be the problem. Some come with different size silicone adapters and smaller ear pieces might help this. On ear or over the ear phones could solve this by not inserting into the ear at all. Also be aware of the volume level, "live concert" levels could damage your hearing, which is why I bring ear plugs to concerts, if it gets too loud I can always pop them in and reduce the volume that way. If it hurts to listen it's too loud.
