“Can someone tell me how to turn OFF the noise cancelling feature? I can't find it in the instructions or online info. I want to wear them and still hear outside sound. I cannot find a way to turn off the ANC. If unable to turn it off, they are useless.”

These do not have ANC, your hearing is possibly blocked because the buds rubber tips are creating a seal in your ear. Maybe try just using one bud at a time and leaving one ear free. Apple air pods have a feature where the Mic on them allows you to listen to the outside world while you listen to music etc. That could be what you need. It’s called live listen. Anker does have a Pro version of these coming this month. Maybe they will have a similar feature.
