Not sure about the exact times for each earbud, but if one does die you have the mono feature and can use the other earbud while the other is charging.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The 7hrs of play seems to be for each one individually. I've utilized this at work because one will last most of my work day, which for me is about 10hrs, and then I just switch to the other for the last 2-3hrs.
