“Hello, I was wondering if this would fit the HP Envy x360 2 in 1. It is around the same dimensions as a mac book (13 x 8.5) but is a little thicker. Do you think he case has enough room to account for the extra thickness of the HP Envy?”

Yes, I believe it would still fit without any issues. Just less "wiggle" room.
