Yes, the storage media is a Solid State Drive so there is no need to worry about any damage from moving around. You can certainly carry it with one hand and it should be able to handle tumbling around in your bag.

Since I bought my HP Spectre x360, I have transported it in the exact same way every time. I place my laptop in the very convenient tote that came with the unit in the box. Then, I put the tote in the black and gold box with the word SPECTRE on the top. I follow that up by completely protecting the SPECTRE box with the two grayish black foam cushions that came in the box. After all that, I then place my well protected Hp Spectre x360, as bulky as it now may be, in a shoulder tote bag. Unfortunately, this procedure requires a lot of patience when packing and unpacking my laptop. However, I personally go through this painstaking ritual to preserve the elegant and professional look of my computer. When I am working on my laptop in public, I am very much aware that I own one of the most attractive laptops in the room. And, I revel in all the attention that I receive. I deserve it!
