• the 5 l is adequate. if you want to double the cooling effect, buy an ultrasonic cool mist humidifier .5 or 1gal and place it to either side of the vent. turn it on and you get double cooling effect

• if your room is bigger than 54 square feet then yes. 10L would be better for you.
