to properly install the stacking kit, you have to pull the legs on the dryer all the way up (they screw in). The stacking kit has two pieces, one installs on each bottom edge of the dryer so that the dryer rests within the two pieces on top of the washer. my guess would be it does not add any more height than what you may already have. It appears there is about 3/4 to 1 inch space between the top of the washer and the bottom of the dryer when stacked.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Only by an inch or two more than what stacking them together does. There Are plastic pieces you snap into the dryer to keep the dryer from shifting side to side on the washer. The brackets in back secure the dryer down.
