• They are able to be used independently however one must "restart" playing when inserting the non wanting earbud back into the case.

• Yes you can. however, these earbuds are not equipped with W1 or H1 chip that AirPods have but you stil be able to use each bud independently. These are buds are compatible with any bluetooth devices.
