Assuming your t3 has the standard bottom that allows for a screw from the tripod to attach itself to your camera, then I expect that the t3 can be used. But I would check on the weight of your t3, and remember to also include the weight of your heaviest lens. I no longer have the box, but the tripod is only recommended for cameras up to a certain weight. My Olympus camera was underweight, but once I was using the tripod I worried that a long, heavy lens would not be stable on this tripd since it is so very light weight. Of course the makes it nice to carry in your backpack. If you do use a long lens, be *sure* you line up one tripod leg directly under the long lens. This should improve the tripod stability.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It fits both of my point and shoot cameras. It is a standard screw. It is not as sturdy as the larger tripods. A large camera could be blown over in wind. This is a nice little portable for point and shoot cameras in my opinion. The wind can blow it over it strong enough.
