Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, this will work on your old GameCube. Connected to it is the plug that’ll connect straight to the GameCube itself. The adapter sold separately connects to the switch via usb and you plug the GameCube controller into that.

The back of the package features a chart that shows it will work with your original Gamecube, the Wii, the Wii U, and the Switch. Talk about longevity for one controller, eh? It looks and feels exactly as all the controllers did right out of the package 17 years ago. Works great.

Please try again later.Yes, the controller is actually better than the original Gamecube ones sold in stores as the cable length is a few feet longer, and has a matte finish compared to a glossy type. Likewise, it has the same exact cable end as the OG one, so you WOULD need an adapter to play on Switch or Wii U.
