Hello Jackie,

Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. No, an internet connection is not required for the cameras to record onto its 1 TB hard drive. If you will need to remotely access your recorder and/or playback footage you will require an internet connection via the Ethernet port on the back of the unit.

No an internet connection is not required. You can connect the system directly to a monitor or tv and view the camera feeds on that. 
However if you want to be able to remotely view the feeds on your phone or computer, you will need to connect the system to an internet connection. This system requires a hardwired connection and is not setup for WiFi connectivity.
