• Hello Jojo, Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. No, this system does not require an internet connection in order to record into its 1 TB hard drive. This can be accessed while connected to a monitor using the HDMI/VGA cords on the back of the unit. Please be advised that an internet connection is required when remotely accessing your unit. • You need internet cable connection to the receiver. Once you have that set up ready, download the app on your cell phone, and you can access the clear images on your phone.
