I see where you can use HDMI cables or RGA cables from the DVR to a TV. My house is wired with CAT 5 cables to the TV. Will this system work? Is there some way through some connector to get the signal to the TV with this set-up? null

Yes, you would need to use a balen to convert the signal at each end. One end goes to device side and the other on tv side. Just google video over CAT5.
