“Is the system able to be used outside of the US? I am looking to use it in a country where it would need to be run off generator most of the time as the electricity is not 24/7.”

Actually it runs the unit an each Camera off of 12VDC. If you have a means to charge a 12VDC Battery like a car battery then you can cut off the transformer of the power cords an then connect it to the battery. Just make sure you observe the polarity of each wire. for you must make sure you do not swap +/- leads. The total current draw is less than 5 amps this will run off of a car battery for more than a day. Then just hook up a battery charger to charge the battery when you have power.
