Yes, I was in the same situation and switched out the dvr and a couple of malfunctioning cameras with no issue.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Do not know. Should be able to test if a camera could be "borrowed" or made available. I have used nothing but swam swann systems for the last 15 years. During my last upgrade, the technology difference in the new cameras was worth the cost and the only question in replacing the system would be in replacing the cables as well. Again, the increase in technology and cable quality would probably make the whose process worthwhile. Sorry not to be of more use.
