• A TV is required for the initial set up. But it is not necessary after words. Once the unit is set up you are able to connec the DVR to a computer.

• You would need a monitor with a VGA connection or HDMI connection. You would need an expensive video card input to actually run it into a computer, but running to a computer monitor, you just need to make sure it has either a VGA or for better quality an HDMI input.
