Do the cameras record even if the internet is not working?. Cable company is not completly reliable. Also is there a battery backup for power failures? null

The cameras always record as long as the DVR has power. The internet only provides you a way to view when you are away from your house. You could easily add a UPS Power Backup if you were worried about losing power to your home for a long time. Best buy sells several, I would recommend at least an 1100VA+ back-up, larger if you want more time when the electricity is down.

Yes they still record you just can't access it remotely. There is no battery back up

Yes, the unit wil still record to the DVr if your internet goes down. Keep in mind you would not be able to view the cameras remotely without an internet connection. No, the unit does not have a back up battery built in.
