Swann recommends using motion based recording for our systems as it will deliver you more relevant recordings and push notifications and allow you to store far more onto the hard drive. However our DVR and NVRs are also capable of 24/7 continuous recording if you wish to use them this way. For this particular kit, the hard drive will likely fill up in 2-3 weeks using continuous recording. Once the hard drive is full the DVR will automatically start recording over the oldest footage first, replacing those old clips with your latest ones. -SD, Swann team
