• It should be fine in most wet weather. To be safe, he could cover the control box on the handlebars.

• It’s fine in the rain. Puddles etc with an IP4 rating which basically means don’t plunge into a pool and you’ll be ok. From the owners manual: your bike is water-resistant, however, do not submerge fully in water, intrusion from water can cause a short circuit and damage electrical components.

• I locked my bike outside while I went to work and it rained. The screen had water in it but everything worked fine i just wouldn't leave it in the rain for days.
