No….
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is a completely different app. You can only record the channels it recives. Direct TV channels will have to be recorded in Direct TV.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The second question is easier. You can record from Tablo and DirectTV or any other DVR at the same time as they are completely independent. The first question is rather ambiguous... Tablo is a network device and requires an app on your smartphone/tablet or fireTV/Roku device to watch... It has no HDMI or other connections to TV. So you can have a FireTV stick connected to your TV to watch Tablo and switch HDMI inputs to your DirectTV to watch that but there is no real "working together" the device that has the Tablo app (for me FireTV sticks) is completely separate from the DirectTV and, as per other Q the recordings are completely separately managed. I enjoy the Tablo as it is easy to do series recordings and watch on my phone or FireTV (as long as on the same wifi subnet - no remote watching), and I am moving more and more to Netflix/Amazon/Disney+ streaming services. But Tablo is not nearly as good as my old TiVO or a DirectTV device for watching live TV on a single TV, as it has long pauses to start streaming, no ability to watch while choosing channels, and very slow channel changing. The old Tablo supported Apps in some smart TVs but the new one does not yet (nor ability to watch on web) so you have to attach a FireTV or Roku dongle... I mostly watch on my phone now..
