I have mine connected an outdoor antenna, but regarding the older tv, you must have access to the Tablo app on the TV to use it. I wouldn’t expect an older TV would have that app available, but if you use a streaming device it would have it. Make sure you use the Blue colored app, not the older legacy (white) version with this new Tablo device. For me it works perfectly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We had trouble with it due to our older TV so we returned it.

As for your "older TV," your best bet is to use a streaming device such as Amazon Firestick or Roku connected to an HDMI port on your TV. Teh Tablo itself pushes its signal into your wifi network, then your TV has to connect to wifi to receive it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You need the Tablo app to watch. That can be on a ROKU device or fire stick (or smart TV). I use ROKU. All these streaming devices use HDMI connections, so if you have that on your TV, and already are using a streaming device, you are good. Just add the Tablo app.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It has a normal “coax” input (round thick cable) for the antenna so you need that type of connector to your outdoor antenna. If your TV has an HDMI connector you can use a streaming stick like a Fire TV stick to use the Tablo.
