What is the picture quality of the pkayback? null

Picture quality is excellent as long as your antenna reception is good; and usually it is but OTA is never perfect, but close.

My picture quality is great. I do have trouble sometimes with channels not coming in especially CBS. Sometimes weather seems to interfere.

What you see is what you record

That will depend on the strength of the over-the-air signal and your antennae. And also the quality of your wi-fi. We have a smallish (21"x12") antennae and the broadcast towers are about 60 miles away. We also have good home wi-fi. Under those circumstances, our playback is great--no complaints. I took care to install the antennae in the best place possible for good reception. How well your antennae works will probably have a much bigger impact on playback than the Tablo.
