Yes, I keep my tea inside every morning and it keeps it warm for 8+ hours

I got this for my grandson so that he will have cold water all day and from what he tells me, it does stay cold to the end of the day, so we know it keeps water very cold. it's a good size for school. I'm sorry I couldn't help you with the heat part of this bottle. It may be too late for you, but if your only asking if it's able to hold hot as well, the answer is yes. I just don't know for how long.
