- Answer Hello, it appears the MD789LL/A is a 1st generation iPad Air and based on size comparisons of this generation and the 10.5 iPad air it does appear that it would fit for the most part. However, the newer iPad Air's are thinner and lighter so this may not be a good fit for the older generation 1 iPad Air in that area.

QuestionWhat is the actual weight of this case? I’m a backpacker and find it very hard to believe that this case only weighs an ounce! I’m considering taking my pad on a trip with me to the backcountry so weight is important.

- Answer Yes, it’s as light as it says, yet very durable. My friend has one and she has taken her IPad with this case in her backpack with no concerns about it being heavy.
