“This model says that it can work with Amazon Alexa, I do not have the option needed on this model. am I missing something?”

The model probably doesn't have bluetooth. Roku TVs do not have bluetooth connectivity and cannot be discovered by Alexa devices.

Before you can connect Alexa Smart Home with your TCL devices, you need to follow these steps: 1. Download the “TCL Home" app from Google Play or App Store. 2. Sign up or sign in with your TCL account. 3. Setup the device with your “TCL Home" app, and make sure you can control it in the app. 4. Open Amazon Alexa app (if you haven't install, go Google Play/Apple store to get it), click Setting Menu at the top left, select Skills & Games. And then search for "TCL Home" action and enable it by signing in with the same ID you used in the “TCL Home" app. 5. After the setup is finished, you can control the device with Alexa Smart Home.
